O-Circuit: Organoid Cytomorphic Intelligence Resulting from Convergent Understanding and Information Transfer Modern artificial intelligence systems are powerful, but they require significant electrical power to function. This energy demand creates challenges for military operations at the tactical edge, where power is limited and resupply is difficult. To address this, DARPA created the Organoid Cytomorphic Intelligence Resulting from Convergent Understanding and Information Transfer (O-Circuit) program, which seeks to develop a new class of biologically inspired computer. By harnessing the incredible efficiency of biological systems, O-Circuit aims to create self-contained, biological processing units that can learn and compute while consuming minimal energy.
